The Daily Star Hides The Truth!

“The only security of all is in a free press.”
― Thomas Jefferson

The quote from Thomas Jefferson speaks to the value and importance of living in a country that allows and supports the notion of a free press. A source of truth for the American people that ideally, can and will not be waivered or compromised based on personal gain, greed or motivation.

Oneonta NOW has covered The Daily Star on numerous occasions, discussing everything from their overall lack of integrity and their consistent efforts to manipulate situations in order to fit a particular agenda or context.

We recently reviewed an article published by The Daily Star titled, “City, town discuss shared resources."

The issue that takes place here is The Daily Star’s blatant actions toward censoring public opinion within their comment section.

While we have already covered this issue before, we feel the need to express more disgust in how The Daily Star has combatted the claim that they do not allow comments that disagree with a particular person (Dick Miller) or concept (really, we are trying to merge the town and city for a third time in three years?).

Instead of eliminating comments that do not align with Miller’s regime, they now post disagreeing comments days after the story has moved off their website’s home page and becomes indexed in their archives.

In the link posted above, all of the comments that exist only appeared this morning, two days after the story was published.

So no longer can The Daily Star and Sam “the tick” Jackass be accused of censoring public opinion.

They simply just don’t post your comments until people have forgotten the story exists.

And really, this is totally the way Jefferson envisioned the future of our free press…NOT

Hey Daily Star, grow some balls and a conscious.

That Is exactly what Happened to me and several of my comments ....They were published two or three days after the story was first printed ...then is lost in the archives and they know darn well that`s going to happen ...
